How can I tell what my Baja is

#2
I bought an old Baja for my son but I have no idea what model or size of the motor
Post a picture or two.
If it is largish and has 8" wheels, it is an MB165 or MB200 Warrior and the OEM engine would be 196cc. If it has 6" wheels, it is a Doodle Bug or one the variants (Racer, Dirt Bug, Blitz) and the OEM engine would be 96cc. I think all of them were manufactured by Hensim. Baja Motorsports went out of business several years ago but the website is still up.

Also would I be able to engine swap with this predator engine?

The pred 224 has a wider blower housing, recoil cover and starter cup.
This will make you loose some of your right foot peg.

If you want the headlight to work, you can change the old, charging/lighting coils, and flywheel from the old engine.
You can change the blower housing, recoil cover, and starter cup too.

Also the stock tank on the 224 has the fill cap in the middle of the tank, that's gonna make it really hard to refuel.

I can't see in the pics, but you MIGHT be able to change tanks too. Depends on the front tank mounts on the old engine.

Fix the old engine and you will retain the engine's alternator so the headlight will work. I don't know much about the interchangeability of the lighting parts and if they will fit a different motor, but I am prepared to be educated.

Not crazy about the ape hanger handlebars--those are not stock and also not good for young riders (less control and ergonomics). You can replace them.
