hs40 block prep

I plan on dropping off a couple HS40 block tomorrow for paint removal prior to having them bored.
Is glass beading OK or would plastic media be better? The shop has both

Joe, I don't think there is a difference. Many (many) years ago, we used glass bead media on aviation aluminum where corrosion was an issue.

It doesn't take aggressive media to remove the factory paint, the surface finish state the media leaves the aluminum with is the best answer if you're going to re-paint.

I use my Glassbead cabinet on my Tec blocks but spend a lot of time with a bucket of tide and brushes to make sure I get all the glassbeads out of the nooks and crannies. After that I pressure wash it.
