Hi, Had a question for HS50 with bearing cyl cover? After installing the snap ring on crank how far is the oil seal recessed into cyl cover? This is first HS engine I've rebuilt with PTO bearing, usually just the oil seal which sits flush. I should of scored around the seal before removing it. Live and learn!

I've rebuilt several H50 & H60's where you turn the nuts to remove bearing cyl cover but this is different with snap ring and recessed oil seal.

Thanks in advance

Couple that I have right in front of me . Both seat about .200 in the cover and if you look real close at the crank surface you will see why they seat in little. If they sat way out they may not seal with the crank surface.
