Just Surprised About Tecumseh

I was just thinking,I wonder why Tecumseh didn't move the whole company to Mexico,China etc.you know so they could stick around instead of closing for good.Just saying is all.

I suspect the cost was prohibitive, and with the credit market the way it is I'm sure financing a new factory was near impossible. Probably a combination of things, but the cheap imports especially drove a nail in the coffin. I just hope Briggs can tough it out.

You hit the nail right on the head. Its because Americans dont want to support American products. Ive been talking about this for years, and had a big debate on this site in 07 about this. To all the people that didnt believe me, or didnt care. Well look at America now. Good job guys :thumbsup:
