Wow, lots of great sleds, Byron, I dig that Ski-Doo Elite. Hoppy, you have quite the collection, I have a soft spot for the old John Deeres and Moto Skis becasue that is what my dad had, and that Foxtrac is really unique. Nice Bolens dw1973, I've never seen one of those before. That's good that you will be able to get out riding Yooper, I had the sled out tonight and it was a blast.

Gees, oldsleds, I was going to tell you about my original 72 Polaris, but you've got so many nice vintage rides I'm embarassed to mention it. I'm going to put it on the snow this year (if we get any) so I can take advantage of the 'Lifetime' Registration.

John Deere snowmobiles

Somebody said John Deere snowmobiles, here are 2 of my oldies.

1974 JDX8,

1974: The JDX-8 now had slides and molded cleat track, replacing 73's bogies. The CCW KEC 440/21 was updated to the 40 hp KEC 440/22 that lived through the 78 Model year powering front motored Cyclones. Additional transfer ports were added, piston pin diameter increased, as was the crank pin. All JDX's for 74 also received a dual rear shock slide rail suspension.

1973 JD 500, This big 500 has electric start

very cool machine......can you tell us abit more about it? Make? Engine?
1968 Thoikol IMP, v4 German Ford, Clark rear end.. I bought it a few years back and got the drive trail all running smooth.. it will go about 20 in any snow condition.. 5ft no problem.. 12 speed, 4 in the rear, 3 speed sincro tranny. I added some triumph thruxton pipes.. as there was no muffler and was way to loud. I use it to access my camp. thanks for asking.:scooter:
