Ready for sand blasting , found a number stamped on inside right rear wheel bracket # 347 , any body know year ? thx

The numbers have no meaning as far as year etc. Hole in the engine plate makes it 1969 or later and it had a Tecumseh engine on it.

Keep looking around those 3 numbers. They did sometimes stamp the year as two digits but it may have only been in like '70 or '71. Several of mine have it and I've seen others as well. I think it's usually above the digits you already stated.

Got it sandblasted , now serial number is clear ( 49347 ) ,
ordered kickstand , throttle , brake lever for it,

If you go by the production numbers up to that point it would put in 1971 ( they recorded 46K and change bikes thru 1970- 52k and change thru 1971)

Finally got frame painted , unfortunately motor has to be re-painted color came out to dark, start sanding this weekend again , lol,

- question I seem to have a lot of play in front forks is this right ?

There are two things you can look at that I can think of. The bolt holes in the triple trees, if they are loose on the bolt then you'll have a difficult time correcting that now. If the bushings are old and worn at all, then they should be replaced. You definitely need close fits on those parts. My survivor has some play in it.
