Take out all of the bolts. Remove anything from the PTO (crankshaft).
Use a plastic hammer or a small board and a hammer to tap on the "ears" that hang out where the oil fill is on each side. There is a small metal dowel on each side. They look like bolt holes, but you did not have a bolt in them. Those are where it gets stuck. I hope that made sense.
Once it cracks loose, use a screwdriver to pry between the case and the side cover, carefully working your way around .

In your picture, the cylinder does not look all crusted with rust. That is a good sign. The oil did not drain down through the ring gap because the rings are rusted to the cylinder. Soaking the piston upside down will free up the bottom rings.

there is a little breather cover on the side, next to the cam. Two bolts....you can remove that and try to remove the valve springs and valves.
Spray oil on everything in there. If it is dry and rusty, make it shiny with oil. It looks like your valves are both closed. That is a plus.
