Montgomery Ward/Gibson rebuild

#1
I will be ordering a new jack shaft assembly later in the week. Need some help in locating the flange bushings, see pics. I can rebuild a new support bracket myself. The bushings seem to be cast iron. Should I replace with the same or use bronze.

Those flange bushings were made of sintered metal are oblong so they didn't spin and are very brittle. I now know to be extra careful removing them with lots of WD40.

There is also the below option but pricey. I would say I have never used the aftermarket version so don't know how well it works. Not sure if the swing arm movement with it as compared to a fixed shaft will be compatible.

The Gilson Snowblower Shop Parts Department

It is a "UniTrol Axle Bearing"

"This part is obsolete as an OEM item but we have them available as a reproduction part. This item replaces Gilson part number 14725 which became LawnBoy/Toro number 703613"

Or drill a plate and use a standard bushing.
