My Bonanza is going in for surgery

So I guess I'm not one of those "leave it original" kind of guys. Now that I have a good bike for the dirt, its time to get the street bike up. I'm going with the same Champion 6.5, its an easy swap and you just cant beat the price. I'm not sure if im going to keep the drum brake or install a disc. Also, I've seen the detailed instructions on how to remove the gov, but has anyone done it yet? I'm curious to know what the difference is before I crack the engine open. I'm not going to use the stock fuel tank for this one, I'm going with an after market mini wassel style.
