hmm, running alcohol is tough on any engine.

stoichiometric for alcohol is 11+- vs 14 for gasoline.

are you running any top oil with the alcohol?

you might want to add some propylene oxide to the
fuel mix, maybe 8 to 10%, it is a low cost oxidizer.

Yes I have top oil added. Just bought a honda gx390 off craigslist, might start modifying it.
