New bars for Suzuki fork?

#1
Where the heck can I get new 3/4" diameter bars for my Suzuki fork
on my mini? The fork is a supposed new fork from a 50cc dirt bike,so
I've looked and looked online, but was only able to find standard 7/8"
and 1" dia. bars everywhere. Anyone got a clue? Using a straight bar
from a shade hanger.LOL. Need some real bars to stop my back from
breaking while leaning forward. Thanks.

you don't need actual bars, you could use some 3/4" pipe and cut it to fit. then get it painted or powder coated. that's if you want to go with the drag bar look.

have you found a throttle assembly for a 3/4" bar?

no idea bro, but that looks like a cool custom home built. Are those axles you are using for the cross bar? More pics man....

Have you checked with Suzuki to see if you can get the original bars? And like Strigoi said, you'd need the throttle and lever perches to fit too.

The throttle and grips were a biatch to get to fit,but the bar on there is
pretty much temporary.

P.S. Sorry I started a thread in the wrong forumn,by the way.

I did an extensive search at Suzuki parts places online, but what ticks
me off is,that they don't give the bar diameters,so I'm pissin' in the wind
on this one, unless I weld up some pcs. of pipe. Will look pretty trashy, but
did you guys see the bike?:doah:

The 1/2" pipe O.D. is actually 7/8",so 3/4" pipe would be much bigger.
I have to check out the O.D. of 3/8" pipe, might have a shot. Thanks.
The Throttle assembly is a pain, had to wrap the bar in good electrical
tape,to make up the difference, but it worked fine,so maybe if I can
locate some true Suzuki bars with throttle,I'll be good. The Fork I
got from a mini bike place online, maybe it was a freak size or
something, that's why a genuine Suz. fork was only $40,right?
I'll figure this out someday.

mabey try bicycle handlebars??
Thanks. The standard for regular bike bars is 7/8",but I think some kids
bikes are the 3/4" that I need. I picked up a broken kids bike, that I found
in the street a while back, and the bars were also 7/8". The problem with
small kids bikes is that the bars and neck, are usually combined to just
slide into the frame, but if I could just get the right diameter,I'd chop
off the sections I don't need and weld the straight bar I have now,in it's
place. This is proving to be much harder than expected.LOL.

I gurantee you can find a pipe with the exact OD you need, then you can cut/bend/weld do whatever you want to it.
The main issue with that is,that I don't have any form of pipe/tube bender
available to me,and funds are tight. So tight, that my Honda engine didn't
have a recoil starter on it when I got it,so I modified a Tecumseh recoil
starter to work on my Honda just today. Crazy, but didn't have the extra
$50-60 for one. I could probably pony up a few bucks to get a pair of
bars,if they are the right diameter. Thanks.
