RTC-2 or RTC-8 head?

I just got a new predator motor (non hemi) to replace an old one. The old one has a RTC-2 marked head and the new one has a RTC-8 marked head. Would the RTC-2 be any better than the 8? We plan to add 18# springs and a mild cam, header and cone filter. Just wondering if any gains would be made putting the old head on the new motor. I haven't take either off to measure valves thinking some here would know first.

The RTC 8 is the best head since sliced bread . It has bigger ports and bigger valves . The RTC 2 so so , actually I have a rtc2 head that I'm working on porting now for a somewhat stock build , it's all I have so that's what I'll run on it .


But run the RTC 8 it's a fine piece of work . I also have a RTC 6 which is the same as your 8 , its on a hemi build and makes 20 hp on the dyno and that head is where the power came from . I actually bought a 69730 motor just to get that head to put on my hemi , if that tells you anything .
