It is for a 1971-73 bike for sure, but i believe it is the exact same dimensions as a 1970s bike as well.
Thank you for the reply. I am looking for one for a 1970 Rupp Roadster with 10" wheels. It was my understanding that the 1971 was different to accommodate the larger 12" wheels. I will defer to the Rupp experts here to provide the definitive answer.

Its 1" longer than the 70. If you need grab it.

There were bikes in 71-73 that had 10" wheels as well and used the same swing arm. I am 99% sure it will fit, i can compare them side by side this weekend when i can get to see my bikes, otherwise if another member can chime in that will work too.

I was referring to the spoke wheel bikes. But your right. I would run it if it was the shorter or the longer makes no difference. Just compare the shock mount.

There is another difference in the 1970 and 1971-on swing arms:
The 1970 have a SLOT in the side of the swing arm to secure the tab/brake cable retainer for the brake cable on the brake assembly, to keep it from rotating, the 1971-on do not (they secure with a bolt). I do not see that slot on the swing arm photo that's posted.
