I purchased a '70 Roadster.
When I went to R&R the rear shocks, there is nothing to attach them to in the upper frame tube.
Anyone have any ideas as to a mount?

There was just an open frame tube with no shock mounts of any kind.
Previous owner had run a piece of threaded rod through the frame tube to hang the shocks on.
I found some bushing at ACE that were an interference fit.
Installed some nut connectors, welded them in place and drove them into the frame.

I'll see if I still have pictures but I got some steering head bearings and balls. Then turned some aluminum bar stock to fit in the steering head and cut a inside id to fit the outer race.
