Picked this up a couple weeks back. I think it’s a 73 or 74? Can anyone tell me? Thank you.

I think the number in the Ruttman tag is 28662.

1973 according to the engine tag. That's a beauty! Don't restore it, just clean it!

Like mentioned above...73. The serial number on those year tags really have no rhyme or reason. Early washer years the number meant the production number and if it was chrome or not.

Nice find!, appears to have been enjoyed but not destroyed. A good clean up, some new seals and get all the mouse nest out of the blower housing and she'll be good to go!.

Got it back on the road this week. Cleaned up and tuned up but patina is still there.

Nice job,I was going to buy it but didnt know if either engine was any good. He couldnt get them running. Looks like I shouldda rolled the dice. Good for you man,hard to find originals these days....New springs are available on ebay,seat material too,if you know somebody can make you another cover.

Getcha an air cleaner though. Tecumseh part number 730164 still available from Tecumseh. Shop around ,prices may vary.

5.30x6. Original size. Tires that were on it were toast.
