SB Chevy Rods

#1
I've got a set of 350 rods that are re-con'd and balanced. I'm curious as to what kind of abuse(HP) that they might take? If I had to guess, I would say that they are 1980-1990.

Stock SBC rods are good for 6500 RPM, so whatever HP you can make in that range. If you use ARP bolts you could buy a little insurance, but you would have to have the big ends re sized again.

With a good set of rod bolts (assuming these are stock Chevy rods) and a steel crank , forged pistons and the right camshaft , heads and intake you could twist it up to around 7500 and keep it together for a while ... Oh not to mention a good 4 bolt main block ... This is all just basic stuff ... No 10 -15K engine here
