I thought about that but a bag of springs the ball valve etc..
I thought about shaving the fins and tapping the block on the intake side and screwing the regulator pictured above directly into the side of the intake port so all the load is dumped right before the valve.
Basically a prototype of a 14 year old prototype. So I’m not sure what I’m gonna do yet.
The pump is good. Stripped it and parts come out looking like picture #1 everything Is so filthy. They appear to clean up well as shown in picture #2 and #3
Pump is back together and no abnormal noises spins free greased etc.. Inlet and a pwk 26mm kit with the double clamp boot will fit perfectly! I was worried about the pump intake port being to big for the boot. Not the case! This pump moves a lot of air just spinning it up lightly.
It’s looking a lot like I have to cut/move one tab drill a new hole and it’s bolted on a mount.
I have SBC generator tensioner arms I can use I think it would be perfect! I might need a 3hp flywheel good thing I have two billet ones! Even better both the I/C 5hp’s have a pulley already bolted to the starter clutch!
Dang it! Close but no cigar i’m making my own bracket out of plate steel. the pulleys almost line up as is... Well the flywheel doesn’t hit so that’s good!
You do know that with a draw through system, and pressure relief, or blow off gas is explosive and should be safely routed to the exhaust system, right?

I had this crazy scenario In my head of the pressure relief popping open and going full combustible sprinkler but Absolutely I will try to find a route or way to route the wastegate safely.
Before I go starting this little 5hp I am going to iron out every detail I can. I’m working on a belt. And will absolutely route any wastegate pressure to the exhaust pipe. It’s very nicely mounted in my opinion but I still have much to do.
