TAV's can they install vertically?

Can a TAV unit be mounted straight up and down? I dont see whay it wouldnt work but looking for feedback before I set it up that way. Im looking at having mine vertically with driven/sprocket below the motor.

sweet thanks. For a minute I thought I just bought a TAV i couldnt use. My axle sits right below my engine. I cant get a chain to the axle if I mount it horizontally du to the groove things on the plate. I figured I had two options.....grind away some of the grooves or mount the thing vertically. I
