will a 5hp briggs tank fit a 3hp?

ok guys now im building another mini bike for my kids to use and follow me on the rocket, question is they want a old school looking mini, flat black paint white walls and polished mags.

i have a cool old briggs 3hp thats a pull rope starter runs like a champ, but has a small fuel tank, will the larger metal fuel tank off say a 5hp briggs work on it??

yes buy i think that you need to upgrade your carb to the 5hp or you might be able to get extensions if it is the the carb mounted on gas tank type.

You will need the 5hp briggs carb to go with the tank. Then you will need to cut and drill the tank brace to make it work.

If you cut the pickup tube and extend it with silicone hose it will work. umodified it will only draw as much as the stock tank holds.

You can do that.
My friend Drew is the only guy I know that can pull the tube out and put it back in with no problem. I have tried it over and over but I break them every time.
