WTF??? Rupp kart part

OK I'm dying to know what this is :shrug: All I can think of is maybe something for tire work possibly??? Or its just miss boxed and not a rupp part at all :laugh: I looked through the 1962 catalog in the kart archives, didn't see anything like it.

it deffo looks like a tire tool,esp with the 2 side straps and the collapsible shell.
maybe they just needed it to install tires on something at the factory and then didnt use it??
that would explain the label?

also,if it is a tire thing,its Light duty,for sure.

I know that a lot of the wheels back then were bead loc and were hard to get tires to pop over the low pressure bead. I had a industrial shop in Portland Oregon try to do this and every mechanic in the shop gave it a try and it took 2 hours to do two tires they lost money that day. Low pressure tires require this type of rim. I would say this might be a tool that they made up .
