I know it greatly improves the power of a 2 stroke motor. Would an expansion chamber not work on a 4 stroke motor? Why? How do 4 strokes get a similar advantage from their exhaust setup?

I have an HS40 with a grooved bore, scored rod, and galling on crank. Can the block be bored to accept an HS50 piston? What I'm wondering, is, can an H40/50 crank be put in, bumping displacement even farther? Too wide?

Old Tecumseh 2 stroke. Was a vertical shaft 7/8" x 1.25" . I never had it running or even tried. It has good compression and the pull start work fine. Doesnt seem to have spark. Tank is probrobly junk. its not rusty but its dented up and the petcock was ripped off. $65. shipped
