ok, so 8 months ago i had never heard of a tri sport. I saw this thing on craigslist for 60 bucks and had to go get it! Took it apart, put it in the corner of the garage and started collecting parts. About 6 weeks ago i pulled it out and started working on it again. Could not find a body for it...
The start to my new found passion came when I stopped over at a buddies house and saw the most unique trike I have ever seen. All it said was Tri-sport on the side of it.

The drive belt on my TS290 is very loose. A couple inches of deflection. The belt IS worn but Im not sure if it is even the correct size. Does anyone have info on the belts use on this model? It has the CCW290 engine and I believe a salsbury 780 clutch. The current belt is 42.5" in circumference...
I have a Tri-Sport with a Tecumseh engine and a variable belt drive. I believe this power unit is original to the machine. I don't know what model/HP the engine is, but if it matters, I can find out and post it. The center distance between the drive/driven pulleys is 6-1/2". Here are a few pics...

I set my RTS up with electric start on the Kohler 340. Now because of this I need a changing system too. I'm set up with an original regulator/rectifier. I think i'm hooked up correctly. Green from the charge coil to the top left and yellow to the right. The bottom 2 go to the battery. At least...
