I finally received and finished my bobber just in time for the Detroit Autorama and had it on display in the basement. I rode it this has Wednesday before move in day and rode it on the roof of cobo hall after the show ended Sunday. Next will be to finish the little bit of fab needed then...
I will be building a long frame Ruttman for this seasons shows and to play around on.
The bike will have new tabs to stretch and lower it and be sitting on the new 4 spoke studz racing mags that are styled after the original 4 spoke mag wheels. Wrapped in a old school 410x3.50-6 square rear...
When I spun this one it seems to be pretty good. I didn’t put a dial indicator on it. I used it for moch up and if future owner wants something more true I always recommend a Douglas kart style wheel.
I may end up putting the front at 1.5” to match the rear. I did not change the tube angle but will add stabilizer mounts so if the future owner wants to add one it will bolt right on. I am getting ready to do a long frame ruttman next. That will be 2” clearance.
