Anyone have a miracle tar removal recipe.

I wouldn't use Carburetor cleaner, it's mostly acetone and that'll melt your paint. I've been using this stuff for years, with great results, no need to soak as it melts the tar right off. https://seafoamworks.com/bugs-b-gone-dried-on-crud-remover/

    Oil shelf life

I was taught to use detergent oil in small engines, and after reading this I started second guessing myself. After changing the oil in my tractor using genuine (new- just bought at the store) Briggs & Stratton oil it says right on the back "This high quality detergent oil is formulated to meet...

    Fox mini bike ID help

Great minds think alike, I ended up using the same Kawi boots on one of my (still not finished) Heald projects. Yes, expensive but a very nice boot. What are you going to use to secure them? SS one piece PEX type clamps work pretty good.

    Motosport heroes/gearheads

It's a little darker than that, unfortunately. He was found with thousands in cash in his pocket, the shooters were told NOT to rob him. It's a very sad story, and a horrible ending for a great innovator, racer and family man. I won't post the details here, but it's easy to look up. If your...

    Trail Tires 14x6

They sure are. Back when they were only $50 bucks each people complained about the price. I bought a few sets then, and I'm glad I did. I just checked their website, and now they are currently $179 EACH! Same price on Amazon-Makes that $84 seem like a bargain:oops:

First year for Hodaka powered Bonanza?

Technically, the first time a Hodaka was used in a Bonanza was way earlier. Here's a good read from a reliable source: https://oldminibikes.com/forum/index.php?threads/the-first-and-last-bonanza.114152/

Some kind of Fox or maybe Rupp

Fox Campus frame, Campus fork. Sort of. I believe those bikes were sold in Canada, under a different name, SE Woods if I remember correctly. (Campus bikes had a single down tube) Looks like the factory bars were cut off and those replacements were added. Possibly off of the same Rupp the seat...

    Easter is upon us.

Actually, my wife took that picture in Wisconsin. That is the "Easter Bunny" on my original paint Ruttman, there's also a few photo's with a Skat kitty and one of my Super Broncs. Apparently they have been making the rounds.. In any event, happy Easter everyone.

    I need 212 C/C muffler advice...

Those cheap hot dog mufflers are just that, cheap. The genuine OEM Briggs ones, the metal is about twice as thick and lasts a lot longer.
