The only problem I see with using hydraulic for power transmission is coasting. You have none. I think the reason it sound like it's having problem climb the bumps/hill is because the driver has to control the gas and engage the hydraulic pump.

Man holes? Have you been in Ottawa, Ontario in the last 2 weeks? We have had like 80 man hole covers stolen in the last 2 weeks.

Is it the kind with the coil on the outside of the fly wheel? If so that's all you need.

Can some one explain to me how a flow bench works. I have an idea that it measure flow the through the head has the motor is spinning. But how is this accomplished?
