Ok I was wondering about that. I have a couple H50/60s that I'd like to mildy build up. Was even thinking of using a billet raptor rod and bore the block to match an oversized raptor piston.
I was going to install round valve seat inserts. Just needed to know how the old ones were installed. Will weld up area before seats are installed. May move one of the valves over away from the other.
How are Tecumseh valve seats removed? I'm building a hopped up H60 and want to put oversized valves in it. It seems that Tecumseh installed one insert for both intake and exhaust instead of one for each valve. Is the seat cast in or installed like a normal seat?
I too bought one of those and had the same issue. It's just a stock replacement. I even contacted the seller about it. They acted like I was the retarded one. Looks like I will be getting the stock one turned to accept a bearing.
The billet rods Tecumseh made for the H50 had a 1 inch rod journal like the briggs. These engines where Tecumseh H50 motorsports. The crank will have to get turned down on a h50 for it to fit.
