lobe

Anyone know the cam lobe orientation in degrees from the dot on a 5hp Briggs engine. Modeling one up in CAD

Does anybody have pictures of how or what to remove when filing the easy spin lobe off of a 3hp Briggs flathead cam. Pictures would be great. :thumbsup:

I just got a used 308 cam from a guy off the karting forum for my clone, everything looked pretty good until I ran my finger nail over the one lobe and felt something, I looked close and it's a hairline crack right about where they added to the original lobe like the weld didn't penetrate into...

Testes my Briggs for a few minutes, the clutch gave out (it was old) but when i took mini back to truck, then tried starting,....wouldnt start! took home, cover off, cam out and noticed the intake lobe has been shaved flat *exhaust lobe is normal. check my pics...
