1971 Murray Mark Four 3-sp bike

Was walking down the street going to a buddy's house yesterday and just as I was passing by a house the lady put this on the curb, came back a few minutes later with my son and we ended up putting in the back of the truck

It's a 1971 Murray Mark Four bike with the 3-speed shifter on the center rail. Original right down to the banana seat

Bike is pure memories for me. Cleaned it a little, aired up the tires, lubed the chain and brakes and my son was riding it already. shifts gears smoothly which was the biggest surprise to me.

Now we just need to decide if we are going to restore it or just resell it

Sweet! Don't sell it. Keep everything. Forever. :doah: It's too nice to restore, but a little more cleaning would make it look nicer and help preserve it, too. It's only original once.

We'll see what ends up happening. It would look really good hanging up in my garage but then again since it wasn't my bike originally I don't have any real attachment to it.

For now my son is enjoying taking it for short rides.
