2 piece alum go kart racing rims

I wanted to know if Im suppose to put some kind of sealant on the inside part of the rim before I tightened up the 6 bolts?:shrug: Seems like it would leak air with the tubless tire on?:shrug: If anyone uses or has used 2 piece racing rims I would appreciate it if someone could let me know or reply with a link to a website that has some info on it.

They make an o-ring seal for 2 piece wheels. You won't be able to get it at an auto parts store but you can get them any place race kart parts are sold.

Yea I'll try that out...I should have some silicone in the garage:smile:

Here is the type I meant. You'll find out the problem with using silicone if you ever have to take them apart.

Try looking at comet karts..... we use a o ring for the 2 pc van k rims but it works also on the 5" Bug rims also

I'll try some silicone, only because I have a tube in my garage and I can't find 1 tire and 2 rims :laugh:
