Anybody remember when some mountain bikes came with suspension stems on frames with rigid forks?

How do you think a fabricated larger version of the same concept work on a front end of a rigid mini bike?
I was thinking a bicycle frame or motorcycle seat shock like this:
Outdoor Sports Mountain Bicycle Spring Shock Absorber | eBay
could be welded on a bracket to the upper fork area with the other end attached to hinged platform that's holding your pair of original handlebar clamps.
