I finally have adapter plates for the older DB-30's with the 8 slots in the frame engine mount plate available.
The plates allow you to easily mount a 6.5hp HF/clone/Honda engine on the DB-30. The slots in your frame may have to be cleaned up with a file to get the 5/16 mounting bolts thru.
The 8 slot frames have 2 mounting patterns. I chose to make the adapter plates to bolt to the larger pattern, these slots are slightly narrower than the smaller pattern. 5 minutes of filing is required to clean up these slots
Adapter plates for 4 or 8 slot frames, 6.5hp engine kits, engine installation kits and individual parts are available.

(The California only Harbor Freight 6.5 hp engine #66014 will not fit these frames without gas tank modifications. The 49 state engine #66015 fits but it's tight)
