Has anybody tried adapting https://www.OldMiniBikes.com/4-1-2-Brake-Assembly-w-Steel-Anchor-Backing-Plate-5-8-Bore.html to a MW/Gilson Band Brake hub? The ID of the hub is 4.5" and the model referenced is 4.5". Just wondering if this might solve the lack of parts for an original band brake assembly. Not sure of the thickness of the out parts of the drum and if there would be clearance (I have room for 1/4" plate).
