Alcohol Engine?

Well, I guess there's a reason some things are free. Picked up a disassembled 5 horse Briggs "alcohol" engine. The only parts I see that are salvageable are the head, side cover ,crank, and flywheel. Maybe the lifters and valves.

You could bore the cylinder and get a new burris .025" oversized chrome piston.

You could always bore and sleeve that engine too. get the lifter bore welded up, and does the PTO side have a bearing?

Oh and get rid of that connecting rod and get a billet one from ARC or Hortsman. And get yourself a new cam!

I knew the cam and rod/piston were junk. Now wondering if I should just scrap it.
