Those were roughly in the 1973-74-75 area I believe, Look at the engine stamping to get a better idea. on that engine, it could be either on a tag on the front side of the shroud or stamped lightly across the top of the shroud by the 3 head bolts that go through. The last set of digits (serial or SER usually are stamped with it) will decipher the build date for the engine.

He is thinking it's older by the ages of the people who owned it. Any info on that serial number that helps?

that number does not give you any information about the year, the first 3 digits are the original manufacturers designation that Sears used (900 would have been for Alexander Reynolds) the rest is just a model code....look at the order number code on bike #3 in the sears catalog page I posted you will see 80751 is part of the order code. Again the serial number on the ENGINE will get you the info you want... Since it appears to be complete "survivor" whatever the date code is on it the bike will have been completed within a few months after.

Post a pic of the right side of the engine also. If it's '73 ish and older it should have a tag about the size of a credit cart attached by 2 rivets to the front of the pull start cover/blower housing. If it's '74 ish and newer it should be stamped on top of the blower housing/pull start cover. Post both the model & serial # (it will be stamped) from either one of those 2 places to better determine the year and hp rating etc.
