It says it is a Lifan Generation III. So it would be the chinese clone. I know Lifan made the blue Harbor Freight engines so I am hopeful that it will be a good engine as it does seem like a good deal. I am trying to see if it has the lighting coil as well. I am going to put one on my Mini Baja if it does. Randy

How about the torque specs? Compared to the other clones? Since it is for a Mini Baja project. I am also going with a real tank where the fake tank is. That will leave me quite a bit of space above and in front of the engine and under the tank. I was thinking of maybe some sort of decorative box to hold the battery. Maybe on top of a throttle plate???Or whatever you call them. I was going to use the area for a helmet holder space, But maybe a dual purpose battery tray that a helmet can sit on top of? Just kicking around some ideas... Randy

Well I bought one so we will see. He did respond and did say it has a 3 amp charging circuit. He added it to one of the pics also. Randy

This motors power output is exactly the same as the old blue and yellow clones sold everywhere, they just have the advantage of the electric start
