arctic cat hs40 throttle hookup

I installed the tecumseh throttle assembly on my bike but the arm on the carb doesnt get pulled by the spring that runs under the carb to it-it has the rod on top going to carb and then the spring to the tecumseh assembly-is there sposed to be another spring or rod on this?

I have the same set up as the lightweight horizontal diagram posted by Randy but either the spring just holds the throttle open or it wont move enuff to pull it depending on where I hook it up on the arm-it seems like another spring to pull it back when its in the position that it holds it open might work am I missing something or do I just need to keep trying to find the perfect location in between

With the engine not running the throttle hangs open. That is normal, it aids in starting. The gov. will return the throttle when the engine starts.
I think that's what your asking?

ok I think I got it just had to keep trying different holes on the arm havent tried it running yet but makes more sense now-thanks guys for the advice
