Asuza Build

Since my last post I've added fenders, a new exhaust pipe and muffler, and a kick stand. I've got it just about finished except for paint and a new air filter. I'm jnot sure what to do about those ugly stands on the engine where the gas tank used to be. I thought about cutting them off but maybe I can use them to bolt the engine to the frame more securely. with the 212 engine this thing has so much torque that the chain is always loosening up on me.. Maybe I could rig up some sort of an threaded rod system to aid in chain adjusting?

Your bike looks really good!!
That's great that the 60t worked out for ya. Did you remove the governor?
If so, it'll probably be a lot faster than you'd want.
So, did you try putting the tank back on after you mounted the engine?
The other thought is just add a plate on the tank mounts, you could put a
fuel pump on it and throttle linkage. Lots of bikes go that way...
I saw someone do brackets for a round tank there too

Chain tension adjustment: (just weld on a small bracket and)

Thanks. I think it's coming together nicely. Even with the 60 tooth sprocket it's still a bit of a handful, but it's way more manageable then it was with the 72. I thought about removing the governor until I rode it for the first time. It's plenty fast enough for me just like it is.
Thanks for the links. I like the looks of that cylinder tank. It's a bit more money than I want to spend but it would be nice to get rid of the predator tank.
