Hi All! i am purchased a 1978 suzuki ts125 (2 stroke) about a month ago. my friend has been cleaning the carbs, fuel system and some other misc. stuff it needed. so i've only ridden it once before handing it over to him :-(
anyway, i am getting my bike back this week. i plan to use it around town and commuting to work (~10 miles RT). the one ride i did have on it, it seemed to idle high - but it was really peppy! it's the first bike i've owned and my only other riding experience was in a motorcycle safety class last summer.
i've been reading about 2 strokes and how they have smaller powerband/require more shifting. i'm wondering if anyone out there can give me some good tips to drive it 'gently' and not do any damage - since it's such and old bike and i can't afford any more repairs! (i.e. what RPM to shift at, generally speaking, etc.)...
