Thanks guys, OND I'm not a big fan of orange but I have to say I do really like it on this frame
Every time I decide to get off my duff and actually try to get some work done on a bike so fiasco comes up, this one is no exception. Dealing with some personal issues all last week got int he way just while I was starting to get the ball rolling again on this one :doah: Between that and trying to get parts listed up for sale so I can pay the mortgage etc, put a damper on doing anything "fun". I did manage to get some paint slapped on the tank and chainguard, and currently working one what to do about exhaust and engine.
I have dug out some exhausts to try on it, Honestly the best fit and look is actually what it would have came stock with, just the little round muff angled out and downward out the right side. It is a chopper though, It should have something, that HS header/pipe one on the engine isn't it though  I may try one of those old Horstman trumpet pipes if I can get my hands on one, They don't have flanges on the end so maybe I can set it where I want it and weld one of my flanges on it.
I'm on the fence about engine too, I really need to find a home for the engine sitting in it, Its an HS50 actually that I retrofitted with HS40 parts (was the one I built and had on a lil Indian years ago). Its got some paint damage though, I keep it around as a reminder NOT to use spraybomb under urethane clear, unless you like the campfire marshmallow look
Potential problem with it is If I run the stock (for HS40) little can muff I will have to use a threaded flange adapter and of course the exhaust will be choked down quite a bit. So I may shelf that poor thing again and have to use the HS40 I had put off to the side for it in the first place.
Anyone know what they did from the brake cable adjuster/mount to brake arm, its a loong run between those points, did they just rely on the shoe springs for cable return?
