Center caps for my Thunderbird

Wanting to dress up my wheels for the Thunderbird and found something at wally world (vegetable steamer basket ) that looked pretty cool. I need to paint the rims silver and permanently mount the caps. Just trying something different.

I am going to spot some rivets to keep it close, I think that may work. As for steam vegetables mmmmmmmmmmmmmm !

i would run some JBweld on the inside where the "panels" connect to each other, that way no one sees it.

I have thought about using those covers you put on the stove under the eyes.
