cheefta mini bike questions

I have two Cheeftahs in the garage a mb-1400( I think) and a mb-1800 neither one resembles this frame. Hope that helps :shrug:

yeah the only 2 I found that looked like this are the 1000 and 1100

Read the ad/brochure I posted. :doah: there is no model number given. Unless someone else has another brochure showing that bike with a model number you can call it a "Cheeftah minibike".

Possible but it could also be an earlier bike than the brochure. Hard to say. Looks like it has 4inch wheel/tires. But since you have a disc brake mount you could probably go with 5 or 6 inch also.

actually going with 4 inch ones because they are original, wheel the back one is, would a drum brake work? whats better drum or disc

There is one brochure floating around that has all the model numbers on it. Went into the garage and took a pic of the smaller model I have. It does look similar. No fork plate though

those look like the forks! look at the spring, maybe a franken bike:shrug:

If this is the brochure you're talking about it's a later year brochure and doesn't have that frame design on it.

Nope, On his bike the back frame rails are almost vertical and the frame bolts together at the axle. Those Cheeftahs have a more Bonanza frame design to them.

Yeah You guys are right. This one is a tough one. Only model # ad that I have seen for these. And mine is a mb-1000. Great lil mini

The more I look at your pic. Pretty sure this isnt a cheeftah. I say have fun with it anyway. Build it how you want it(since its next to impossible to get parts for these guys.

It's definitely a Cheeftah. Just like the brochure I posted but without the fork plate. Same frame, same disc brake mount, same engine plate, etc. etc.

Like Iron Honky said build it like you want. Guessing it's around late 60s to early 70s. But does it really matter??? :shrug:
