Chrome versus powder coat versus?

Ultra fine sandpaper or white scotchbright with mothers to remove oxidization then mothers power cone/polish. Worked pretty good to bring some shine back to my Ruttman wheels. They had a smooth texture to begin with. My '04 L/I has the same style wheels but a rough texture. They got cleaned with laquer thinner then media blasted then rattlecan cleared...Nothing to do with chrome just another option for aluminum wheels

Here are some pictures of the Brooks I want to restore. Built in Jackson MI & one was my first toy with a gas engine.

Thank You all for your advice, examples, & opinions.

I knew the answer was/is real chrome & big $$$$ but I was hoping for some cheap miracle break thru. Fenders are thick/heavy so solid but real rusty. I think I will try to find replacement handle bars as I think these are Schwinn or Huffy late 60s, early 70s bars.
