Clinton phantom motor, West Bend killer

#1
Over the years I have heard stories of a Clinton powered kart that was next to unbeatable. Knowing a little of the Clinton engine short comings I dismissed this tale along with the claims of Bigfoot and the Loch Ness monster. Recently I have acquired one of these mystical engines and with a little research found the corroborating data. It is Clinton's 502 or 503 123cc 7.5hp at 3500 rpm.
Pictured on the right is a lightly ported Panther and you will notice the port size of the 503 (almost identical to the WB820). Also the 502 and 503 have a removable head. I have located a mount and am casting a couple of different headers for the beast. More to come.

Way bigger ports. Neat engine and factoids. I noted the vintage karters' comment that this motor carried more low RPM torque than what was out there, but wasn't a high-winder. Will it be a kart motor, or on a bike? It'd be interesting to see what it does out of the corners compared to the Macs.
