Im looking to trade a guy speakers for a CT70. He just had it tuned, new air filter, battery and some new wiring. And I quote "Runs good once warm, but doesn't like to be cold." Basic minibikes im okay with, but Honda and geared minis I'm not. I have no idea what to think this problem would be. Any ideas out there guys.
Thanks

Knowing the value of that bike, if that CT70 is in even halfway decent condition, that must be one hell of a set of speakers your have to trade!?

If the air filter has been changed from stock to a Cone type, the carb should be re-jetted. When they get more air they want more fuel to keep the ratio proper.

The choke on that may not be closing all the way, or on some of these there is a "trap door" on the choke plate, the spring my be busted. Also, check the float level and that the jets are all clean, including the atomizer tube (above the main jet, one the jet is removed it unscrews). Also, replace the rubber intake boot from the carb to the engine, in time these things crack and allow air leaks.

And a CT-70 for a set of speakers? Go for it!!

hi all,
yes it was a good trade. just 4 behringer 1020s, stands and a mile of cable. it was given to him and he had no idea or care of value. it was true bartering. he had something i wanted and i had something he wanted. i do need to splice the sparkplug wire. that was the problem, not carb. The lights, horn and speedo all work. I need to get a muffler cover

Just about anything you need for that CT-70 is available today. They made a gazillion of them and there are copies still made today.

I could see why he went for the trade. Those speakers + big amp and some music on a laptop = $$$. Can you say DJ?
