do i need stiffer springs?

ok,i have a 14cc head cut .065 with 1.2 rockers,ss valves and all do you guys think i need stiffer springs then the #26 also have an agk .276 cam in her,will i start floating around 8000 rpms?or sooner?:blink:

are you running factory springs? if so you'll have valve float at 6000

no,i have 26 lbs in there now,but this motor runs all out for 500 feet at wide open throttle,this is in a mini snowmobile

you need 55lb springs

55 pound springs????the sled kicked @rs this weekend,that seems a little much but that is why im asking,what will i gain with that stiff of a spring?

with a .276 cam you should be fine running 26lbs springs. 55's are what i've seen with .315 and up.
