springs?

I'm on the hunt for compression springs used in shocks/suspensions on these old minis. Taking a very rusted from end apart with heat, I unsprung the springs. I also want to play around a bit and make a front end more usuable for my weight and the design of the front end. Looking at OAL...

I plan to run 1.3 rockers on a stock clone cam for a hi-torque/lo-rev build. What springs will take .290-ish lift and not wipe out a stock lobe? I guess I can have the cam MicroBlue'd and run 26lb, but want out cheap :)

ok,i have a 14cc head cut .065 with 1.2 rockers,ss valves and all do you guys think i need stiffer springs then the #26 also have an agk .276 cam in her,will i start floating around 8000 rpms?or sooner?:blink:

i got this tc off a ohh60 and its rough but i got it apart and it doesnt have the springs/weights i tryed to look up parts for the maxtorque converters but the pics and listings i found looked like these ones dont have the springs. so is this missing the springs or does it not need them...

my 2.8 seems to have more power than i thought it would and it backfires at high rpms i had tightened up the linkage springs did i unknowingly deactivate the governor or something? :doah:

I am looking for a set of new fork springs. Mine measure 5-5/8", total diameter-just under 1-3/45". They thin out at each end to twist into holding position. Anyone know where I could find a pair? See pics, thanks

Is there anything particularly special about them besides a "known" compression? I know it might sound stupid but couldn't a hardware store spring of the proper compression and dimensions be used? Metal fatigue after many compression cycles might be a problem. I ask this crazy question...
