The old one on the left:
I never saw a tilly on steroids like this. Why is the bottom doubled out?

The new on the right, actually says "Kart" on it.
I'm guessing its for methanol, but How can I be sure?

i am gonna go out on a limb here, but if i remember right, the one on the left is from a sled. the bottom is a vacuum driven fuel pump/ water separator and fuel reservoir that kept the sled running when sideways. they needed this vacuum pump as the fuel tank was located too far from the carb and when the sled was on a very steep incline the fuel would stop flowing from the tank. most likely gas or gas mix. hope this helps.
