Tried two 6v bridged. Last two hrs. Went to goodwill and found a 12v black and Decker drill battery and charger. It lights the light up bright as hell but the wires get hot when I hold them on there. The battery pack is plastic. Should I be worried about anything?

Just running a simple 55w fog light.

55w is gonna drain that battery real fast.

Look into some of the bicycle LED lights available. They are fairly inexpensive and run for a long time.
Good luck

You may need heavier wires , but as pomfish said LEDs will give you more battery live and your wires may be heavy enough for them.
