El Burro Paint

What type of paint should I use on my el burro? Right now I have everything sprayed with spray paint cans but I'm worried about the durability of it. When gas gets on the paint it peels up. Is there a spray on sealant that can protect the paint? I can always re-sandblast. Any input is appreciated.

I always use Crossfire urethane enamel from NAPA. They can match your colors. Or you could most likely wet sand your spray paint with 400-600 sandpaper, just enough to dull the shine and coat it with Crossfire clearcoat. Either way it will hold up really well. The advantage to clear is you can add pearl powders or mini-metal flakes if you like. The powders are cheap from Paintwithpearl.com
