can someone school me on engine swaps.i have a 5hp briggs that won't fit on a mini-bike cause the clutch dosen't line up. it came off my alsport trike in favor of an 8hp tech. that swap won't work either without moving the motor to the right about 3". i've seen an 8hp on mini-bikes, that seemed to be balanced. are these different classes of motors? ind. perhaps? can a 5 or 8hp be found that will bolt right up, or does the dist. between mounting holes and crank increase with size?
